The grant is administered by Justice for Police Officer Daniel Faulkner, Inc. (a non-profit Pennsylvania corporation that has received 501(c)(3) status from the IRS) which was organized in 1998 to honor the memory of Daniel Faulkner and spread the truth about the manner in which he died. Police Officer Faulkner was a member of the Philadelphia Police Department and was killed in the line of duty in 1981. Applications for the Grant Fund are available for downloading and printing through both the Microsoft Word and the Adobe Acrobat Reader PDF formats. Faulkner was brutally murdered after a routine car stop. In
1982, Mumia Abu-Jamal was tried and convicted for Officer
Faulkner's murder, and was himself (appropriately) sentenced
by a jury to receive the death penalty. Ever since, Jamal's
"cause" has become the subject of an international
campaign of misinformation led by the likes of Whoopi Goldberg,
